I guess that there is no one here to help. Maybe I should go back to Trixbox.

Had you by chance upgraded freepbx manually before yum update ?

Hi:
No I didn't. I did follow the instructions given in response to getting the billing working and that required that I install the beta.

1. Don't even consider going back to Trixbox. There are a lot of us that have been there and done that and there's a reason we are here.
2. When you say a "broken GUI"? Did you upgrade FreePBX to 2.9? The FreePBX 2.9 upgrade will create havoc on Elastix. As of now (that I know of) there is no fix and require downgrading to 2.8

I updraded to Freepbx and everything works just fine. Elastix may be a good system in the future but for now there are modules that just do not work.
There is very little help online for the elastix community. Trixbox has its problems but at least they have a online community even though some of their stuff sucks.
I got freepbx to work with reinstalling elastix and upgrading the freepbx.
As time goes on, I am sure that Elastix will be the future.
Warm Regards,
Steve

Which modules are you referring too? The only difference that I noticed in Trixbox vs Elastix was using 2 lines on my Polycom Phones. Trixbox automatically provisioned them where in Elastix I had to find a work around. Trixbox was good for me for a couple of years but voice quality became an issue and every time I upgraded the system, something else broke. I had an Elastix sys up and running much faster than Trixbox.

Upgrading freepbx from unembedded interface breaks down elastix...
That is why we have rpms for freepbx on our repos.
What is the output for executing:
/var/lib/asterisk/bin/retrieve_conf
